"I saw a Facebook post announcing the opening of this place from the owner's daughter and decided to give it a try since it's down the street from me. I'm glad I stopped by! I ordered the steak jibarito with side salad, strawberry lemonade to drink, and bread pudding for dessert. The entree came with hot sauce and passion fruit dressing, both of which were definitely highlights of the meal for me. Not only did everything taste fresh and good, but it all also felt surprisingly light yet certainly filling. The service was kind and attentive while not feeling overwhelming like a more traditional sit down restaurant. If you're a local and enjoy the food and service at nearby Dulce de Leche cafe, I'd recommend you try this place out."
"I'm a huge tamale snub so to finally find a decent tamale and the Foster Avenue lineup was very surprised me. This restaurant is taking over a new ownership it has a pretty decent menu. During the first week of their opening the staff was very friendly and I love the new modern Sleek decor. I was very hungry and since one of the neighboring restaurants to have planned to visit was closed I decided to give sissies a try. I was not disappointed tomorrow ice or spy on and I decided even the next day to go get them. I prefer the red tamales which word chicken-based. I've also heard from co-workers that the breakfast is great. I'm looking forward to getting to know this restaurant more and it becoming a staple in the neighborhood."
"I ate a bacon egg and cheese wrap and it was amazing, we will be back again because they also tended us well. Its also clean."
"Went there the other day and the food was super good! The staff was really friendly too. Food was quick to come out. I didn't take a pic because I was too hungry. Lol. I got the tuna wrap and green chicken tamales. Really yummy and great prices!"
"Ordered tamales on Christmas Eve for Christmas Day with my in laws. When picking them up with my husband, we decided to sit in and eat breakfast. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and he ordered the chorizo con huevo sandwich. Both were absolutely yummy! I was shocked that such simple sandwiches were done extremely well. My bagel came with sweet potato chips on the side which were great, my husband ordered fries which were even more amazing! The fries were super fresh and perfect cut. Now to the better part, fast forward to Christmas Day, we warmed up the tamales we ordered the day before not really knowing what to expect. Both the green and red tamales were delicious!!! My in laws (who are from Mexico) absolutely loved them. The maza to meat ratio was perfect, the flavor was outstanding, and the maza was perfectly soft. We were truly impressed! Pricing is more than reasonable, and the way they revamped the outside and inside of the restaurant is gorgeous. We will be stopping by again!"
